2folders is a super easy app that helps you back up your files by making copies in different folders. The best part? You don't need to install it! It has just a few simple options, so anyone can use it without a hitch.

Easy Setup and Use

Since there's no setup package, you can drop the executable file anywhere on your hard drive or even on a USB flash drive. Just double-click it, and 2folders launches right away on any PC. Plus, it won't mess with your disk or change any Windows registry settings.

Straightforward Interface

The interface is pretty plain and doesn't focus much on fancy graphics, which keeps things simple. You create new copy tasks by naming your profile and picking the source and output folders. There's even an option to automatically delete files in the destination that aren't in the source folder!

Manage Your Tasks Easily

Your tasks don't run immediately; they go into a pending queue instead. You can make as many profiles as you want, reorder them, and check their names, sources, destinations, and statuses all in one place.

Batch Backup Operations

You can run backup operations for one or more selected profiles at once! There's a handy button to select or deselect all tasks too. While you can remove any folder pair from the list, there aren't many other features to note.

Performance Insights

In our tests, 2folders copied files quickly without using up much of your system's resources. We didn't see any error messages pop up, and it didn't freeze or crash at all! However, the interface feels a bit basic—almost like it's still being worked on.

Lacking Features but Worth Trying

For example, there aren't buttons for using tree views to show source and output folders; you have to type or paste full paths manually. And unfortunately, it doesn't let you filter files by type or schedule automatic copy jobs either. But hey, why not give 2folders a try yourself?
