Barcode Edit is a super handy tool for anyone who uses barcodes in their business. If you're keeping track of products, you'll definitely want this app to help you read and even generate barcodes!
So, first things first. You can only get Barcode Edit from the Microsoft Store. Make sure you have valid credentials ready for download and installation.
If you want to read barcodes with this app, you'll need to connect a camera to your computer. But don’t worry; it’s easy! You can start or stop scanning whenever you want.
If you're interested in making your own barcodes, it's pretty simple! First, just type in the text you want to convert. After that, Barcode Edit lets you choose from several types of symbology like Code 93, Data Matrix, EAN-13, EAN-8, ITF, PDF417, QR Code, UPC-A, or UPC-E.
Once you've picked the barcode type that works for you, the last step is choosing how you want your image saved. You can go with JPEG, BMP or GIF formats. If you're looking for something else though, you might need a third-party graphic converter.
A little heads up: there's no way to preview the barcode before saving it. So if it doesn’t come out right the first time? You'll have to save it on your PC and open it again to check. If you're not happy with how it looks? Time to redo it!
All in all, Barcode Edit is perfect for beginners who may not be tech-savvy but still need a desktop application for reading and generating various types of barcodes. However, if you're an expert looking for advanced features, this might not be the best fit.
