How to Use Beat Meter

If you want to measure the beat rate of a piece of music, it’s super easy. Just click on the lower brown bar in sync with the music. The widget will do all the math and give you a running average based on your clicks.

Understanding the Display

You’ll see the beat rate displayed right below the widget. When it’s calculating, the text changes from white to green. This means it’s averaging out the clicks based on how many samples you've set in the widget's preferences.

Getting Stable Results

If you keep a steady click rate, that number will stabilize pretty quickly! It’s all about finding that rhythm.

Dragging the Widget

If you need to move this widget around, no problem! Just hold down the Command Key if you're on a Mac or Control Key if you’re using Windows while dragging it where you want.
