Blackbody Radiation: Frequency and Wavelength is a super handy tool made in Java. It’s really easy to use and designed to help you analyze blackbody radiation curves from Planck. You can view these curves either by frequency or wavelength, making it simple to compare the two!
The cool thing about this tool is that you can derive the Planck radiation law in two ways: once as a function of frequency and once as a function of wavelength. This gives you two slightly different formulas for energy density depending on whether you're looking at frequency or wavelength.
In the main window, there’s a neat schematic of a blackbody cavity. On the right side, you can see the color of the radiation that gets emitted. It really helps visualize what’s happening!
The graph shows how energy density varies with frequency (or wavelength) while also displaying the visible spectrum. You can easily switch between these two functions using radio buttons, making it super user-friendly.
If you want to play around with temperature settings, there's a slider that lets you set or change it quickly! This feature is great for experimenting and seeing how changes in temperature affect blackbody radiation.
