User-Friendly Interface

The main window of the application can look a bit cluttered at first, and honestly, some of the buttons don't have tooltips to explain what they do. But don't worry! Cable DrumFit provides a Help document that makes it easier to understand each part of the interface.

Data Entry Made Easy

The program has two main panels for data entry: 'Stock' and 'Order'. In the 'Stock' panel, you'll input your cables or wires in their uncut state. The 'Order' panel is where you'll add the measurements you need for each piece of cable. You can enter all this info manually, copy it from your clipboard, or even import it from an Excel sheet!

Setting Up Your Measurements

For both sections, make sure to fill in at least one line with details like 'Number', 'Length', and 'Total'. Before hitting calculate, you have some options in the 'Settings' menu for things like 'Cut Loss', 'Result', and 'Speed'. It's pretty straightforward!

Getting Results

Once you're ready, just press the 'Start' button. Cable DrumFit will crunch all those numbers and show you a table at the bottom of the window with results like 'Drum Remainder', 'Drum Length', 'Lengths', and how much 'Total Scrap' you have.
