How it Works:

CRT Energy Saver black out inactive areas of the screen if there is no mouse movement for over 10 seconds or if the mouse stays over an active program for the same duration. The areas return to normal when the mouse is moved, allowing easy access to desktop icons.

Compatibility:

Please note that CRT Energy Saver is meant for use with CRT monitors and should not be used with modern LCD screens. LCD monitors operate differently, and using CRT Energy Saver with them can lead to increased energy consumption.

Simple to Use:

Once installed, CRT Energy Saver runs automatically in the background when Windows starts. You will notice that the screen background darkens when not in use, indicating the energy-saving mode is active. A system tray icon provides easy access to the program's settings.

If you wish to exit CRT Energy Saver, simply click on the system tray icon and choose to shut down the program. It will resume its energy-saving function upon the next Windows reboot.

Please be aware that CRT Energy Saver does not interfere with other programs that hibernate or put your computer and monitor in standby mode after periods of inactivity.
