CurrPorts is a lightweight app that helps you see all the opened ports on your computer. It’s super handy if you want to find out which program is using a specific TCP or UDP port.
The interface of CurrPorts is really simple. You’ll get a list of all the executable files that are chatting through those TCP or UDP ports. Plus, you can check out various details like the process name, remote address, and where the process is located on your computer.
When you look at the list, established connections are marked in green, while unidentified apps show up in red. This makes it easy to spot active connections and any potentially risky ones just by glancing at the list.
If you see an app that’s not needed or one that’s unidentified, you can quickly close that connection or even kill the process right from the app! With info about the file location provided, you can track down any dangerous executables and remove them from your computer.
You can also generate a detailed HTML report with all this info and save it to your hard drive for later use. The report can include everything or just what you filter based on process, port, or remote address.
The cool part? You can customize what information shows up in the main window by selecting which columns you'd like to view. And if you're keen on keeping things updated, there's an option for automatic refresh so you can update your application list at set time intervals.
CurrPorts is a practical tool for viewing and managing opened TCP or UDP ports on your computer. If you're looking for detailed reports about used ports, this program has got your back! You can check it out and download it here!
