Diffraction Pattern Calculator is a handy tool that helps you figure out the angles of diffraction peaks when a plane wave hits a point scatterer. So, what’s a point scatterer? It’s simply an object that’s smaller than the wavelength of the incoming wave. When this happens, you get these cool secondary spherical waves that come from the scatterer. If you have multiple scatterers lined up in regular spacing, those waves can interfere with each other and create sharp peaks called diffraction maxima.

Once you've done that, the results will pop up in two columns—one showing angles for diffraction grating and another for Bragg scattering angles.
