Download Deployer is a handy tool that helps you copy or move files from one place to another, all while keeping an eye on their types or names. If you want to tidy up your downloads folder, this app is perfect for sorting out those files.
The best part? You don’t need to install anything! Download Deployer is portable, so you can save it anywhere on your computer or even on a USB drive. This means you can use it on any PC without any hassle. Just remember to keep your storage device writable because it creates some extra files while running.
You’ll love how simple the interface is! It comes in a small window where all the options are right in front of you. No complicated menus here!
This utility has some cool filters ready for action. You can easily clean up Readme files or sample files, and even organize your pictures and videos. Plus, if those filters don’t fit your needs, feel free to create custom profiles! Just give it a name and specify what file names or extensions you want.
You can make as many profiles as you want with different settings. Want to remove one? No problem! You can also choose whether the process should be case-sensitive, pick a source folder, select where to send the files, and decide whether to move, delete, or copy them.
Oh, and don’t forget about the “Enabled” option—it has to be switched on before you run your task. The good news is that any settings you save will be there next time you launch Download Deployer.
The predefined profiles might look a bit complex at first glance. But don't worry; they can actually be simplified! For instance, just type "readme" (without quotes) to find all related files or use ".zip" for ZIP archives. If you're grouping multiple names together, separate them with the | symbol (like "readme|.zip")—easy peasy!
This software does its job quickly without hogging system resources during our tests. However, if there are already existing file names in the destination folder when copying or moving items, you'll get an error message.
One downside is that Download Deployer's instructions about file name patterns aren't super clear. Plus, it doesn't have features for monitoring folders automatically—which makes things a bit tricky sometimes.
Go to the Softpas website, press the 'Downloads' button, and pick the app you want to download and install—easy and fast!
