The installation process might take a bit of time since DSSim-PC needs to set up some extra components to work properly. Don't worry, these come included in the download. Just keep in mind that you might need to restart your computer once it’s done.

User-Friendly Interface

When you open DSSim-PC, you'll see a big window that's really easy to navigate. It shows options for your project, components, and configuration settings all laid out clearly.

Designing Your Project

You can easily add new elements to your design by entering their names and values. Want to change something? No problem! You can edit properties, copy elements, or even create blocks of elements. You can also tweak lines, change connections, or delete parts you don’t need.

Configuration Options Galore

DSSim-PC gives you various editors to play with. There’s a basic text editor for line codes, load profiles, XY graphs, and more! For example, if you're using the XY graph editor, you can see all the element names along with their coordinates in the graphical view.

Simplifying Your Workflow

You can rearrange elements in your list or even remove them if necessary. Plus, creating new pairs of elements is super simple! Once you're happy with everything and make all the changes you want, just compile your project and generate a DSS file.

Performance Insights

In our tests, DSSim-PC didn’t slow down our computers at all; it works well without needing much CPU or RAM! However, there were a few times it struggled to launch properly. Still, it's packed with user-friendly features that make designing electric power distribution systems straightforward.
