What is EggKey Gateway?

EggKey Gateway

EggKey Gateway is a handy software that lets your clients use your Internet connection. It acts like a proxy server, sitting between your clients and your router or modem.

How It Works

When clients connect, they get their own private IP address (192.168.11.xxx). This way, they can't just hop online without going through the gateway first.

Proxy Server Setup

EggKey Gateway also sets all client computers to use a proxy server on port 8080 of your machine. This is where the magic happens! When users fire up their browsers, EggKey Gateway checks if they’ve purchased access to your Internet connection.

Accessing the Internet

If they have bought access, they can browse the web as fast as your bandwidth allows. If they haven't signed up yet with your HotSpot, no worries! They’ll be sent to a webpage at www.eggkey.com, where you can show them existing plans and how much time they'd like to purchase.

Buying Access Time

Once they've paid for access time, they'll be free to surf without interruptions until their time runs out.

The main screen of EggKey Gateway lets you see how much money you’ve made so far in real-time!
