Energia is an awesome platform for electronics prototyping. It helps you manage Wiring and the Arduino framework right on your MSP430 LaunchPad. If you're using other versions like MSP432, Stellaris, CC3200, C2000, or TivaC LaunchPads, don’t worry! This program works with those too.

What is Energia?

Energia is a special development environment that runs on multiple platforms. It makes compiling and processing code much easier for you!

Connecting to LaunchPad

You’ll need to connect Energia to your LaunchPad hardware so you can transfer data. This connection lets you upload programs, provide input, and get results back!

Using Wiring with LaunchPads

This tool uses the Wiring network to help implement various patterns on your LaunchPads. If you didn’t know, a LaunchPad is a microcontroller board that has different specifics based on the manufacturer.

Developing Interactive Objects

With Energia, you can create interactive objects! You can import elements from switches or sensors and even control lights, motors, and other physical outputs.

User-Friendly Text Editor

The text editor in Energia is super easy to use. It has an integrated syntax highlighting feature that makes typing or editing source code simple.

Console and Toolbar Features

The program also gives you a console where all process results are displayed along with a handy message area and toolbar.

Edit Your Code Easily

You’ll find several text editing tools like cut, copy, paste, find or replace. There are advanced options too! You can copy text for forums or as HTML code. Feel free to add comments or undo actions as needed!

Your Sketches Are Safe!

You can easily insert your script and save it as a local file called a sketch. Energia lets you copy the HEX file path or import sketch libraries before compiling your script.

A Tool for Everyone

This tool is mostly for advanced users but don’t worry if you're just starting out! Energia comes with plenty of samples so you can monitor, control, or test processes through wireless networks.
