TrustedInstaller.exe is a service introduced by Microsoft in Windows Vista to allow modifications to Windows Updates (including install and uninstall) only after ensuring they are made by a trusted service. Otherwise, malware agents can easily hijack your system and break down the OS by tinkering with system updates.
However, TrustedInstaller's functionality is not limited to this since it can be used to run third-party applications as well. If you want to gain access to important parts of the computer that normally require a TrustedInstalled account, you can use ExecTI - Run as TrustedInstaller.
As far as the interface is concerned, the window of ExecTI is almost identical to the window of the Windows Run command. You can type or paste the full path to the target or locate it with the aid of the file browser, then confirm the action to launch that process as TrustedInstaller. The program can then be normally deployed.
Worth noting is that ExecTI creates an INI configuration file in its directory to be able to remember the last process path. Also, a distinct ExecTI launcher is available for Windows 7 users. Keep in mind that administrative privileges are necessary to use this application correctly.
Note: Only processes with .exe, .cmd, and .bat file extensions can be executed using ExecTI - Run as TrustedInstaller.
