What is GoogleDomainsDDNSUpdater?

GoogleDomainsDDNSUpdater

GoogleDomainsDDNSUpdater is a handy little batch script made to help you easily update your Google Domains Dynamic DNS. Basically, this script lets you batch update the DNS records with the IPv4 addresses of your host machines if you're on Windows 10 or 11. The creator suggests running this script on a schedule using the standard Windows Task Scheduler, which makes it super convenient!

Setting Up Your Google Domain

Before you get started, it’s a good idea to ensure that Dynamic DNS is enabled on your Google domain. You can check the DNS panel for all the necessary details about your credentials and hostname—don't forget to write those down!

Configuring the Script

Next, you’ll want to tweak the BAT file using a text editor. This means changing the username, password, and hostname with the info you noted earlier. It’s pretty straightforward; just run the app and a console window will pop up where you can fill in those details.

Running Your Batch File

Once you've filled everything out, you'll be ready to run that BAT file! You can do this through command prompt or any console you like. If everything goes well, you'll see an output that says 'good' or 'nochg ', confirming that your script successfully updated those IP addresses.

Troubleshooting

If you see something different in the output, don’t sweat it! That just means you'll need to adjust some codes based on what response code you're getting.
