Simple Interface for Easy Navigation

The interface is pretty straightforward. You'll see a standard window with an embedded tree view, which makes it super easy to navigate through your disk directories. Finding files and folders feels like a breeze!

Basic File Management Features

You can open files using the default app or any other app you prefer. Plus, renaming items is a snap! Want to cut, copy, paste, or delete files and folders? No problem at all! You can also check out file properties like the last modification date, size, and attributes.

Directory Synchronization Made Easy

If you need to sync directories, GTFileExplorer has got that covered too! You can switch to directory synchronization mode where you'll see two tree views side by side. This lets you pick two different spots and copy newer files from one side to another until both locations have identical content.

Check Your Sync Status

You can even set it up to only copy newer files from left to right or the other way around. Plus, there's a handy feature that shows the synchronization status so you can see what still needs copying.

Performance on Your Machine

This software didn't slow down our machine during tests since it uses low CPU and RAM resources. However, keep in mind that it hasn't had updates in quite some time. We did notice some compatibility hiccups on newer Windows versions; for instance, it froze occasionally on Windows 7 right after starting up.

A Classic Tool with Limitations

While GTFileExplorer may be showing its age and has some stability issues with newer operating systems, it's still useful on older versions of Windows for exploring files and syncing directories.
