HexViewer is a super simple program that lets you peek at the hexadecimal code of any file, no matter what type it is. It’s got just a few basic features that make it easy to use.
The setup takes hardly any time at all, and you can breeze through it without a hassle. But, just a heads up—the look of the app hasn’t changed much in a long while.
The interface is pretty minimalist, kind of like Notepad. You can only open files using the built-in file browser since there’s no drag-and-drop option available.
If you want to view different pages of hex code, all you need to do is click a button. You can also copy selected code to your clipboard, hide the splash screen, or change the font and background colors. Unfortunately, there aren’t many other features to explore.
One great thing about HexViewer is that it doesn’t hog your computer's resources. It runs smoothly on low CPU and RAM usage. We didn’t run into any problems during our tests—no crashing or annoying error messages! Even with its basic options, HexViewer does its job well on newer operating systems, even though it hasn’t received updates in quite some time.
If you're looking for an easy way to view hex codes without fussing over complicated features, check out HexViewer here!
