HXTT Access is a cool library that helps you create a lightweight database engine focused on transactions. It supports different levels of transaction operations, like repeatable read, read uncommitted, read committed, and serialized. What's neat is that it's all written in Java, so you can run it on any platform that has Java VM.
The library includes the only type 4 JDBC drivers for Microsoft Access that actually support transactions. That means you get remote access, client-server mode, embedded access, memory-only databases, URL databases, compressed databases, and even java.io InputStream databases! Plus, it works with Microsoft Access versions from 1995 all the way to 2016.
A standout feature is the embedded Pure Java database. This allows your database to be deployed and accessed on any platform running JVM. It also supports all Unicode characters and locales that JVM can handle. In addition to those standard modules, it even includes some extras like Mazovia, Cp620, and Cp895.
If you're building applications in client-server mode, HXTT Access offers an interface for a database server manager with remote control capabilities. This means your database can run as a standalone application or as a service on Linux or Windows! And when it comes to URL databases? You're covered with support for HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, JDBC, and SQL.
