What is iXCopy?

iXCopy

iXCopy is a super handy tool that helps you copy or back up files and folders easily. It acts like the Xcopy DOS command, making it simple to manage your data.

How iXCopy Works

This application makes it easy to copy everything from a source path to a destination path. Just pick a folder, and it will grab all the contents inside that folder without copying the folder itself. You can send those files to any destination you choose, and if that spot doesn’t exist yet, no worries! iXCopy can create it for you.

Backing Up Your Data

This feature is super useful for regular backups. If you want to back up an entire folder instead of just its contents, just add a backslash at the end of the folder path (like C:\\Program Files\\Data Folder\\). There’s also an option to check “Include Selected Path Folder in Copy” if you prefer that method.

Customizing Your Backup Options

You have plenty of options with iXCopy! You can choose to copy only modified files, just new ones, or even files that are already in your backup location. Plus, there are settings to reset archive flags on copied files and include subdirectories if needed. You can even exclude common folders like Windows or Program Files and ignore hidden or system files.

Create Shortcuts for Easy Use

A neat feature is the command line reporter. This lets you generate a command line sequence quickly! You can create desktop shortcuts for your favorite operations so you can repeat them later without hassle. If you've got several backup tasks in mind, iXCopy lets you create batch files too!

Efficient Data Copying

The shortcut or batch file will launch iXCopy with the options you've picked out earlier. When using these shortcuts or batch files, each instance of iXCopy knows when it's done and can exit on its own! This means you can run multiple copies at once with batch files—perfect for speeding up even complex data copying tasks!
