Java Reminder is a super simple tool made for the Yahoo! Widget Engine. Its main job? To remind you to grab a cup of coffee every day at 3 p.m. Sounds handy, right?
This little gadget doesn't come with any complicated settings, so it's perfect for anyone—even if you're not a tech whiz. You can easily handle it without worrying about software experience.
The interface is designed as a small frame that you can drag around your screen with your mouse. And just like its name suggests, it’s inspired by the Java logo!
As we mentioned earlier, there are no configuration options available. So, if you wanted to change the time for the notification, that’s not going to happen.
Thanks to the Yahoo! Widget Engine features, you can set this frame to stay on top or below all other windows. You can also choose to ignore mouse events and even stop it from being dragged around. Plus, you have the option to adjust its opacity level anywhere from 20% to 100%!
No need to worry about how this tiny utility affects your computer's performance—it's designed to use very little CPU and RAM. During our tests, we didn’t see any error messages or crashes; it ran smoothly throughout.
Sadly, since the Yahoo! Widget Engine project has been discontinued, Java Reminder won't be getting any updates in the future.
