Java Text Editor is a simple word processor built with Java. Its main goal is to show how the Java programming language works. It’s friendly for all types of users, whether you’re a beginner or more experienced.
If you have Java on your computer, you're good to go! You don’t need to do any extra setup. Just save the app files anywhere on your hard drive and double-click the .jar file to start using Java Text Editor. You can even keep it on a USB drive to use it on different computers. Plus, it doesn't mess with your Windows registry like many other installers do.
The interface is straightforward, displayed in a small window that shows all the main options. You can open text documents by browsing through files or just drag and drop them right into the editor. The editor lets you cut, copy, paste, delete text, and select everything with ease. It’s also great for viewing and editing sample texts!
You can save your changes either back to the original file or as a new one by choosing where you want to save it and what name to give it. There are a couple of handy keyboard shortcuts available too, but besides that, there aren’t many extra features.
When we tested Java Text Editor, it ran smoothly without causing any crashes or errors on our system. It kept CPU and RAM usage low, so it won’t slow down your computer while you work.
The downside? This editor doesn’t have many features and hasn’t seen an update in quite a while. But hey, since it's free and open-source, why not give it a shot? You might find it handy for basic tasks! For more details or to download, check out this link!
