Getting started with Jovial Markdown is super easy! Just unpack the file, run the executable, and you’re ready to write—no installation needed! The clean and minimalist design means you can focus on what matters: your words.

User-Friendly Features

You’ll find using the markdown features a breeze too. There are multiple ways to format your text! You can click on icons at the top for bold, italics, or underline, or simply use keyboard shortcuts like CTRL+B for bold or CTRL+I for italics. Want to get fancy? Use codes like <strong> and </strong> to add those effects!

Converting Text Made Easy

Once you've written something in the left panel of the app, you'll need to convert it to Markdown. Just hit that cute pink icon at the top or press F5—easy peasy!

Templates Galore!

If you hover over the Templates tab, you'll see a menu pop up with presets for calendars, changelogs, meeting notes, and even to-do lists. While we found that some templates didn’t quite meet our needs (looking at you Calendar and To-Do!), others like Changelog and Meeting Notes showed us cool ways to structure our text using Markdown.

Edit and Export with Ease

The best part? All these templates are reusable! You can edit them however you want. When you're done writing, simply choose whether to save your work as a .txt file or export it as .html.

A Solid Foundation

Jovial Markdown definitely has its quirks—it might be a bit slow sometimes—but overall it's got strong potential.
