Now, if we say the pen point in this moving circle is offset by O, then the math behind the curve looks like this:

x = (R+r) * cos(t) - (r+O) * cos(((R+r)/r)*t)

y = (R+r) * sin(t) - (r+O) * sin(((R+r)/r)*t)
