PortMarshaller is a handy little tool that helps you forward ports through TCP and IP connections. Plus, it’s great for keeping an eye on your network! You can manage access control lists, check out connection logs, and see session stats with ease.
Setting up PortMarshaller is super quick and shouldn't give you any headaches. Once it's running, it starts automatically. But if you need to tweak anything, just open Configurator.exe. You can stop the service or change connection settings as needed. This includes things like access mode (enabled, locked, disabled), using IIS (Internet Information Services), and setting up user names, passwords, local addresses, and ports. When you're done making changes, just hit “Update,” and you can restart the service right away!
To get to the main control panel of PortMarshaller, simply open a web browser and type in the local address and port you've set in Configurator. Or you can click the link provided in this window! Here you'll find all sorts of administrator settings—like the name, local address, buffer size, status information, startup type, properties of each connection made to your network along with remote host addresses.
If you want to add new accounts, it’s as easy as filling out a form with some details. You can also look at access control lists to modify properties using allow and deny lists or check out connection logs to see what's opened or blocked.
You’ll also be able to see session stats along with historical data on active, closed, blocked connections per account. It tells you how many bytes were read or written by both client and server too! And don’t forget—you can check out the program's log for general activity details.
In summary, PortMarshaller offers a simple way to forward ports while keeping tabs on your network. We tested it on Windows 10 and found that it runs smoothly without hogging system resources!
