Remote Wake on LAN is a handy software that lets you wake up one or more computers by sending a simple network message over your local area network (LAN). Pretty cool, right?
This software is super portable! You don’t need to install it on your computer. Just save Remote Wake on LAN on a USB flash drive or any removable device. You can run it directly from there—no installation fuss!
The best part? When you’re done using it, nothing gets left behind. The Windows Registry stays clean, so no new entries are made, and once you remove the program, there are no leftover files hanging around. Plus, since it's portable, you can easily carry Remote Wake on LAN in your pocket wherever you go.
The interface is straightforward and based on a small window with a standard layout. It follows the “what you see is what you get” rule—everything you need is right there in the main application window without any hidden features.
Waking up computers with this tool is super easy! Just enter the remote IP or name of the computer you want to wake up via LAN. But remember, for this to work, the wake-on-LAN option needs to be enabled in that computer’s BIOS settings under Power Management.
You can also get the remote name and MAC address of computers and create a list of multiple machines that you'd like to wake up. Plus, if you want to keep track of them later, just save that list as a plain text document (TXT).
This software runs smoothly without using much CPU or system memory at all! During our test run, it had great response times and didn’t freeze or crash at all. However, keep in mind that Remote Wake on LAN doesn’t let you set specific times for waking up computers. Also, it hasn’t been updated in quite some time.
