SavDisk is a handy little tool that helps you save files to a drive, check or restore those saves, and even compress files. It’s pretty straightforward to use and can really come in handy when you want to keep your data safe.
With SavDisk, restoring your files is as easy as drag-and-drop from Windows Explorer. You can quickly open the explorer on your backup using the 'explorer' button. If you need to choose a different folder than the usual one for saving your files, just enter it or browse through it!
By default, when you drop files into SavDisk, they’ll be copied into the same sub-location in the destination as they were originally. But if you want a cleaner setup, you can uncheck the box that says 'recreate the tree', which will let you copy everything straight to the root of your destination folder.
You don’t have to stress about file dates or sizes when restoring with SavDisk. Even if there’s a more recent file version out there, it’ll let you overwrite it without any issues.
You can keep an eye on how everything is running through the console window. It’s nice to have that visibility while working!
Known Bugs:
You can work around these quirks by selecting 'ignore one hour difference' in settings. Just be cautious; if you modify a file exactly one hour later without changing its size, it might not get saved properly!
