What is SetVol?

Adjusting the volume can typically be done by accessing the corresponding volume icon from the System Tray. However, at times, the volume does not remain constant and tends to change with every boot. SetVol is a tiny console tool designed to help configure a specific volume on every startup.

For instance, setting the volume entails typing 1 and then typing the desired startup volume between 0 and 100. The app confirms your choice and informs you that the master volume is now set to the specified number.

The application does not run in the background like similar tools. Instead, it activates on startup after a system reboot or shutdown to ensure the volume is as you specified. It does not work when the computer is in sleep or hibernation mode.
