Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can drop the executable item in any part of the hard disk and just click it to run. An alternative is to save a copy of System Folders Customizer to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, to run it on any PC easily, without previously installing anything.

An important aspect is that the Windows registry and Start menu are not updated with new entries, and no extra files are created on the disk without your approval, leaving no traces behind after its removal.

The main window holds five tabs for each area to copy Control Panel applets, along with the app configuration section. All you have to do is select the applets you want displayed and click a button to immediately apply the new changes. Settings can be reset to default.

You can enable and disable My Computer, ask the app to run at every Windows startup until further notice, select all items from the list, as well as add System Folders Customizer to the desktop context menu. There are no other notable options available.

As expected, the tool leaves a minimal footprint on PC performance, using low CPU and memory. We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation, as it did not freeze, crash, or pop up error messages. Changes are immediately applied to the system. System Folders Customizer serves its purpose and can be used by anyone.
