How TimeAxon Works

To get started, you first need to install and run ClockAxon. This handy tool picks up the correct time from a GPS receiver using something called the NMEA protocol. It then acts like an SNTP server, providing accurate time info.

Client Application Setup

Once ClockAxon is up and running, TimeAxon needs to be installed on every computer that you want to synchronize. After installation, each computer will grab the current date and time from ClockAxon and adjust itself automatically. Pretty cool, right?

Track Time Server Availability

One of the great features of TimeAxon is its ability to track whether your time server is available. This helps ensure that all connected PCs have consistent dates and times. If there are any issues, TimeAxon can send alerts as SNMP traps, so you know when something's off and can fix it quickly.

You can easily enter your preferred SNTP server addresses or pick from a list of available ones identified by TimeAxon. Plus, you have control over how often the clock gets synchronized and what the maximum allowed time difference is.
