How Does It Work?

Once you launch UnicodeInput, an icon appears in your system tray. It runs quietly in the background without bothering you with pop-ups. To open up the main window and insert a Unicode character, just hit Alt + Plus on the numpad. The last code you used is saved, which makes things super convenient.

Numpad Requirement

A little heads-up though: if your keyboard doesn’t have a numpad, this tool won't work for you. After copying the Unicode character into UnicodeInput, click the "Send" button to paste it directly into whatever window was active before.

Closing the Program

The system tray icon doesn't have an exit menu, so you'll need to bring up the main window again if you want to close it.

No Cost and Future Updates

The best part? UnicodeInput is free for both personal and commercial use! Just keep in mind that since it's pretty straightforward, updates are unlikely. Also, once you've inserted your Unicode character, the window closes automatically—you can't keep it open.
