Who Calls is a handy tool that uses your modem to find out who’s calling. It grabs the Caller ID (or CID) from incoming calls, which is the caller's number. This happens right when your phone starts ringing or when the call is being set up—before you even pick up!
So, how does Caller ID really work? Basically, it sends the caller’s number to your phone equipment. That means you can know who's calling before you answer. Pretty cool, right? If the caller's number is already saved in your database, Who Calls will show their details and even a photo if available!
If you want to see more than just the basic info, Who Calls lets you display caller information from an external database too! It's perfect for getting more context about who's on the other end of the line.
You’ll also find samples for Call Centers using MsAccess, Excel, and MsOutlook included with Who Calls. This makes it easier to understand how everything fits together.
If you're setting it up as a server in a network, good news! You only need one modem for all Caller ID detection. Then Who Calls can share that caller info with all its clients on the network. This keeps everyone in sync without any hassle.
