That’s where XFILES comes in!

This software helps you modify sensitive keywords in FCS files, ensuring that patient information stays confidential. The best part? There are no special requirements to run it! You just need to install it quickly, and you’re good to go.

Getting Started with XFILES

After you launch the program, the first step is to find the FCS file you want to work on. Just browse through your folders and double-click the file to see more details. Usually, the default keyword works fine, but feel free to swap it out if you have a specific one in mind.

Removing Patient IDs

Once everything looks good and you've set up your keywords, hit that “Start X-ing” button! This will kick off the process of removing patient IDs from your files. It’s designed specifically for data collected using BD software, so you know it's reliable.
