XPIPcfg is a simple Windows software that shows your system's IP settings and lets you do some quick tasks. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done!
The interface might look a bit basic, but XPIPcfg makes it easy to see your current IP address and access all the tools right in one window. So, you won't waste time trying to figure out where everything is.
One cool feature is that XPIPcfg lets you release the DHCP IP address of your system. There's also a handy renew button that helps you grab a new IP from the DHCP server on your network.
If you're interested in DNS settings, you're in luck! You can check out your DNS settings or simply clear cached data with just a few clicks.
If all you want is network info, just hit the “Show All” button. XPIPcfg will display everything you need to know, including IP addresses and DNS servers.
This software is aimed specifically at Windows XP users. Unfortunately, it doesn’t even work on Windows 7. So if you're using anything newer, you'll need to look elsewhere.
Overall, XPIPcfg misses quite a few important features. It could really benefit from having better tools for IP configuration and a more user-friendly layout to make things easier for everyone—whether you're a beginner or have some experience.
All things considered, XPIPcfg seems more like an interesting project than a practical software solution these days. It only works on Windows XP systems and while it does show some useful network details, there are plenty of other apps out there that do much more!
