Yale is a handy little tool that helps you keep track of how much internet each app on your computer is using. You know those times when you've got a bunch of programs running, and your computer starts to feel slow? Well, that's where Yale comes in!
This software is all about simplicity. When you first open it, you'll see just how easy it is to get the info you need without any fuss. Plus, you can customize its colors and what details it shows—how cool is that?
Once you install Yale, it puts an icon in your System Tray. From there, it shows a graph of resource use for different apps right on the lower right side of your desktop. And guess what? You can move that graph anywhere on your screen!
You can keep an eye on multiple network adapters with this tool. Just click on each one to expand the view and see more details about how much they’re using.
The app gives you insights into bandwidth usage for each application, plus details about the network protocol and DNS server they're using. If you're looking to dig deeper, there's also a 'port-numbers.txt' file you can add to the same folder as 'Yale.exe' to recognize even more protocols.
Besides just network usage, Yale also shares info on how hard your CPU and hard disk are working. It's like having a complete health check-up for your computer!
However, keep in mind that if you're expanding views for a network adapter, Yale will parse each transferred package. This might slow down your data transfer speeds a bit.
Even though it's designed simply, Yale does its job really well! It’s definitely a useful utility for monitoring what's happening on your computer at all times.
