Just because your web browser takes long to reach a web page, it doesn’t really mean your Internet connection, or the target page is down. There’s an easy option to check the availability of virtually any machine connected to the information superhighway, and that’s through a ping. As such, Aeo3 Pingo wants to help you check the availability of any address of interest.

The application comes with several advantages, but one of the most important ones is portability. Not only does this save you the time and effort required to go through a setup process, but makes it possible to carry around on a thumb drive and use on other computers without affecting stability, because registry entries are not altered during runtime.

The visual design wants to make both beginners and experienced individuals quickly get the hang of things. A classic window frame houses all features, and you can even minimize it to the tray area when not directly in use. A large panel is used to show the of events, and the address of interest goes in a dedicated field.

You’re free to either provide the URL or IP address of the target host. You can configure the ping speed by adjusting a slider in case you are pretty cautious about network bandwidth usage.

As mentioned, the target address goes in a dedicated field, but it’s also possible to have multiple hosts pinged at a time. This, however, involves modifying an INI file, but this requires little effort, because you simply need to paste an address on an individual line. The status bar shows the connectivity status, but there’s no alert in case connectivity fails.

Bottom line is that network administrators are sure to rely on ping tools frequently to check the availability status of custom addresses, and Aeo3 Pingo is sure to come in handy. You can set up a list of more addresses to ping, and even use it on the go.
