Aero Auto Color

Aero Auto Color is a lightweight and portable piece of software designed to automatically change the Aero theme color in Windows 7, based on the window you're currently working in. It can be asked to run at every system startup by default.

As there is no setup pack involved, you can save Aero Auto Color's executable file in any part of the hard disk and just click it to run the utility. There's also the option to keep it stored on a pen drive or other removable storage unit, so that you can directly run it on any PC without previous installers. Plus, it doesn't change the Windows registry settings.

Represented by a small window that contains just a couple of options, the interface is straightforward, enabling you to save the active window icon to file.

The program can be minimized to the taskbar. It changes the taskbar color as soon as you switch to a new window, so there's no need to confirm any actions.

As previously mentioned, it's also possible to integrate Aero Auto Color into the Windows autostart sequence. Apart from the fact that you can customize the active window icon color, there are no other noteworthy settings available.

There were no kind of issues in our tests, since the app didn't freeze, crash or prompt error dialogs. It left a small footprint on system resources usage, thanks to the fact that it needed low CPU and memory to function normally. Thanks to its intuitive interface and options, Aero Auto Color can be used by anyone with ease.
