Aes Spartan

Aes Spartan is a simple to use encryption tool that allows you to convert plain text to non-readable lines and thus protect important data. The application requires that you provide an encryption key, but it can also generate random character strings. These keys are also required for the decoding of certain texts.

Aes Spartan is designed to help you protect important data, such as passwords, usernames or even SMS and other messages. You simply need to paste the desired text into the editing area, from the clipboard, then provide the key and start the encryption.

The program enables you to provide two keys, for extra security. The recommendation is to choose longer strings with as many types of characters as possible: upper/lower case letters, digits, other symbols.

The keys are not only used for encoding, but for decoding as well. You need to make sure that you remember or store them in a reliable space.

Aes Spartan converts the plain text into unreadable character strings, which you may easily export to a text file or copy to clipboard. Decoding these lines requires that you provide the key used for encryption, then click the dedicated button.

Aes Spartan facilitates the copying or pasting of the keys in the designated spaces: check the ‘P’ box to paste from the clipboard and ‘C’ to copy the key. Obtaining a random key can be achieved by hovering the mouse over the ‘Generate a key’ text.

Although generating a key in Aes Spartan can be done simply by hovering the cursor over a button, you need to make sure that you save the one you used for encryption. Moreover, although the process is rather simple, the program’s interface is confusing and difficult to get used to. Dragging and dropping the text in the interface is not supported.
