AirDroid Cast is an application that allows one to cast the screen of one's iOS or Android device to their laptop, computer, and/or Windows tablet. It does that by using two apps, one on your phone and one on your Windows device. It works well and offers the features you'd expect. Depending on your phone, screen sharing should be pretty easy to tackle with this specific application.

The application is pretty easy to set up. You simply scan the QR code or add the code displayed on your Windows device using your smartphone. This trick also works with tablets sporting the same mobile operating systems. You can control your device remotely, using your mouse to simulate touch input.

This feature is currently supported only by iOS 13.4 devices and above. For Android and all other iOS handhelds, you can use various shortcut keys to achieve the same result. F1 is used as the Home button, F2 for Recent Tasks, and F3 instead of the Back function.

Now, if you're dealing with an iOS device, the screen mirroring technology is called AirPlay. You can adjust some of the settings for this particular feature in the Settings menu of the program. For Android users, the feature is called MiraCast and is basically the same algorithm but with a slightly different implementation. One can also adjust other aspects that deal with the displayed image. It's worth mentioning that each type of device, iOS or Android, has its own adjustable feature.

The bottom line with AirDroid Cast is that it's not really a surprising app. In fact, it offers common features that you might already find are part of your Windows OS and Android device. While this app could prove a tad more reliable in connectivity, there's not much to make it stand out. A modern interface and some common features are not always the winning recipe.
