Alien Registry Viewer

Alien Registry Viewer is an advanced software utility that gives users the possibility to tinker with Windows registry settings. It is similar to the Windows Registry Editor, but it contains additional options.

Given the risk of accidentally causing stability issues by removing important registry keys, the app should be handled by experienced users only.

Installing the program is a fast and easy task, thanks to familiar options. The interface is not visually attractive but easy to navigate, made from a standard window with a neatly organized layout. At startup, you can either select a folder with registry files or an NT user folder, or choose the files manually.

All registry information is loaded in hierarchical view, and it is possible to view the name, type and data for each entry, copy any field to the Clipboard, use a search function, as well as create a favorites list.

What's more, a selected branch of all information can be exported to REG or TXT format for closer examination and safekeeping. You can display binary data too, and hide the toolbar or status bar from the main window.

There were no kind of issues in our tests, since Alien Registry Viewer did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. It has a good response time and runs on low CPU and RAM, so it does not affect the overall performance of the computer. Help documentation is available.

Alien Registry Viewer provides some useful advanced settings for tinkering with Windows registry data. But even when taking this into account, the complete package is very expensive. On top of that, the tool has not been updated for a long while.
