AntFileSplitter

AntFileSplitter is one of those simple applications that you might need to have around at some point.

What it actually does is to split text files into smaller parts, according to the size settings of your choice.

There is no need to install AntFileSplitter, as the application is practically portable. That means that it can be launched on the go, just by double-clicking on the downloaded file.

The main window is revealed instantly, showing a rather simple interface with few additional options in the available menus. You start by selecting the files to split and, as you do so, the input list within the GUI is populated with entries.

It is also possible to change the encoding of the input files and select the output folder, where all the resulting parts will be displayed.

AntFileSplitter generates the token definition automatically, but it does allow you to set the split size, also in tokens. In other words, you can use AntFileSplitter to divide a list of text files into text chunks of equal sizes.

Should your text include tags, you can configure AntFileSplitter to ignore them completely. There is an option that instructs the application to save the remaining text chunk it it ends up being too small and it does not comply to your size settings.

AntFileSplitter splits all the selected text files into smaller chunks, saving the results into UTF-8 encoded text files, without messing around with the original samples. It is a simple tool, suitable if you need a text file splitter.
