The Windows 10 setup checks for incompatible apps before upgrading to the latest release of the operating system, displaying an error called "Uninstall This App Now Because It Isn't Compatible With Windows 10", having the Oxc1900208 error code. This might happen even if just a single file associated with an incompatible application is detected.
Solving this issue requires users to take a look at a hidden log file in Windows, called "_APPRAISER_HumanReadable.xml." After opening the XML file with Notepad or any other text reader, one should look for the "DT_ANY_FMC_BlockingApplication" entry, whose value should be set to "true," given that the app incompatibility error is displayed.
The "LowerCaseLongPathUnexpanded" field shows the location of the blocking app or file, which should be either moved or deleted.
All these steps are tedious and might be difficult for a non-expert user to perform them all successfully. That is why Microsoft created a Powershell script called the Appraiser Script (or Uninstall This App Now PowerShell Script) to carry out the task instead. All one has to do is run the BAT file with administrative privileges. Then, installing the Windows 10 update once more or returning to the Upgrade Assistant and hitting the "Refresh" button should get rid of the error above.
