Whether you are attempting to downsize a DOS window or perhaps you want to fit in two window apps on a small screen, being able to resize the programs’ windows can come in handy in multiple situations. You may be using windows that are already maximized and hence, cannot be resized or perhaps, you want to open a screensaver that does not fit the entire screen.
appsizer is a lightweight, command line tool designed to do the automatic detection and resizing of the windows. The utility is not exactly very intuitive, as you need to make modifications in the configuration file to get the effects of the tool. If you want to be able to check out if the app is running and what is going on, you need to change "hideconsole" to "false" to see console outputs.
With this small change, now you should be able to view details of what the app is doing in the background, including process ID, window title along with the height and weight. As previously mentioned, you need to make modifications in the configuration file in order to make the necessary modifications. More precisely, you need to enter the application window name, width and height.
