auWin is a handy tool that helps you customize how files and folders behave on your computer. You might want to make a file read-only so nobody can change it, or maybe you want to hide some data to keep it safe from prying eyes. File attributes are the key to doing just that!

Easy Access to File Attributes

Normally, if you want to view or edit these attributes, you’d go through the Properties menu by right-clicking on the file or folder. But with auWin, managing these attributes becomes way easier! It gives you options that are usually not available in the standard Properties.

No Installation Needed!

You don’t need to install or set up anything complicated. Just make sure to run it as Administrator for best results when accessing files and folders. The interface is simple, featuring a small window with two search fields—one for the title or class and another for the handle. Plus, there are four match modes for titles on the right side, and a drop-down menu on the left where you can pick your action.

Add More Actions Than Ever

The coolest part? You can do so much more with auWin than what’s available in Properties! Want to display, close, kill, flash, or set transparency? No problem! You can even make files always stay on top, enable/disable them, restore them, and get text from them—just choose your action after specifying the title and hit Start!

Preview Your Results

The bottom area of the interface lets you preview all items found after your search. This makes it super easy to see what you've got at a glance.
