How to Use Ballistic

If you're trying to find some missing letters in a word, just type in the letters you know and use asterisks for the ones you're unsure about. The app will help you figure out what words fit those criteria.

Anagram Finder

Need an anagram? No problem! Just enter the letters in the Finder field, check the “Find Anagrams” box, and set how long you'd like the anagram to be. It's that easy!

Create Your Own Puzzles

Not only does Ballistic help solve puzzles, but it also lets you create new ones. You can start with simple anagrams or let the app generate permutations that turn into new words.

Word Lists Galore!

This program comes packed with plenty of word lists right out of the box. You can switch between them using the File menu. If none of those work for you, don’t worry! You can add your own lists too—just paste them into the “lists/My Lists” folder in the program's directory.
