This app supports various beam types, including I Beam, Hollow Rectangle, Rectangle, Angle, C Beam, T Beam, Round Bar, and Hollow Circle. Just pick your favorite from the drop-down list!

Custom Dimensions and Instant Updates

When you set your custom cross-section dimensions, the preview area updates right away! If you change any values, don’t worry—the preview automatically refreshes. You can zoom in and out, drag around the drawing, and even rotate it freely to see it from different angles.

Solve for Beam Properties

Ready to calculate? Just hit the “Solve” button! BeamSection will give you all the important beam properties that engineers usually need. This includes things like area, moment of inertia (Ixx, Iyy), centroid distance (Xc, Xy), torsion constant (J), and elastic section modulus (Sxx, Syy).
