What is Bemused?

Bemused

Bemused is a super handy software that lets you control your music collection right from your phone using Bluetooth. Imagine chilling on your couch and being able to play, pause, or skip tracks without getting up!

Device Compatibility

To get started with Bemused, you'll need a Series 60 or UIQ phone. Some examples include the Nokia 7650 or 3650 and the Sony Ericsson P800 or P900. You'll also need a PC that has a Bluetooth adapter.

Control Your PC

With Bemused, you can manage your PC’s music through Bluetooth, infra-red, USB, or GPRS. If you’re using infra-red or USB, just make sure you have the PC Suite running on your computer. Oh! And remember that when using these methods, you'll need to start the connection from your PC.

No Installation Needed

The best part? The Bemused server for your computer doesn’t even require installation! It comes as a single EXE file that you can run from anywhere on your PC. Plus, it will create an INI file in the same spot where it's run.

Getting Started with Your Phone

The Bemused app for your phone is pretty straightforward too; it's a standard SIS file that you just send to your phone and install it like any other app.

Note: Just a heads up—Bemused does not support the Sony Ericsson T610 and will not in the future. It only works on phones that run Symbian OS.
