What is BitBuddy?

BitBuddy

BitBuddy is a great torrent client that works much like StrongDC++ or ApexDC++. It lets you upload and download files from all over the globe. Super handy, right?

User Interface Overview

The user interface is pretty easy to navigate. In your task list, you can see important details like the status, name, size, download speed, upload speed, estimated time left, seeds, peers, and distributed copies for each torrent. It really helps keep things organized!

Create Your Own Torrents

If you want to create a torrent, it’s simple! Just input your source file (you can choose single or multiple files), set where you want it saved, and optionally add your creator name and a comment.

Task Management Made Easy

On the left side of your screen, there are options for managing tasks like leeching only or seeding only. You can also check out your favorites (like torrent sites), do some torrent searches, and browse peer-to-peer sites.

Torrent Details at Your Fingertips

Right below the task list is where you can get all the info on a specific torrent and even access an RSS reader. You’ll find details such as download status, save path, creation date, total size, info hash, number of pieces, piece length, current tracker status, total seeds available for downloads and more!

Advanced Information Available

You can dive deeper into additional details too! This includes IP addresses, client types used for downloads/uploads speeds along with flags. Plus information about pieces (like size and blocks) and files (name & size). There’s even a logs section to check out time stamps and messages related to any issues.

User Preferences

The "Preferences" menu lets you set up proxy settings if needed. You can also adjust rate options and folder settings—like where incoming downloads go—along with scheduling tasks. Client spoofing options are available too!

Performance Insights

The great part? BitBuddy uses very little system resources while finishing tasks quickly without throwing any errors during our tests! A downside is there’s no help file available if you get stuck. But overall? BitBuddy is an awesome torrent client that we highly recommend.
