For increased security measures, most important documents are found under the PDF format. In order to view such documents you need to use specialized applications, as well to edit content. BRISS is one of them, giving you the possibility to carefully crop any page in order to remove unused space.

Running the application requires you to load a file in order to take advantage of available features. This is done through the dedicated menu, with no possibility to simply drag the desired item over the main window.

The overall design might prove to be a little difficult to use at first if you don't pay enough attention to details. A dialogue screen asks you to input the pages to be excluded from the process, rather than giving you access to the whole document.

You need to practice with the page selection screen, because the interface is rather confusing, most of the times displaying other elements than hoped for. Chopping down text is simply done by dragging your mouse over the are of interest. You can draw multiple rectangles, each creating a dedicated page in the new document.

The application is meant to be straightforward, but lost a lot of its essence in the design process. Available features are limited, with nothing more to offer than options mentioned above. Batch processing is not implemented and even cropping a single document proves to be quite the challenge.

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that BRISS only manages to do half the job done. Unfortunately, getting a document ready takes a little of your time, while the end result might not always be as expected. It's only good if the PDF file is a page long.
