This can take many forms, some more intricate, others more generalist. One way of looking at apps is from the perspective of memory leaks, as well as deadlocks. This can reveal valuable insight into the efficiency of the said apps.

Targeting these exact two aspects of software characteristics, BugInsight was created in order to provide users with a way of testing software for memory leaks as well as potential deadlocks. The application targets C and C++ software.

The supported C and C++ applications at the time are only those with 64-bit architecture and users must be aware that false-positive leak reports and deadlock detections can appear when dealing with static runtime.

In addition to leak and deadlock detection, the app also addresses testing for apps or part of them which cannot be addressed with other solutions, such as ThreadSanitizer, or AddressSanitizer, on Linux.
