Have you ever thought about starting your own radio station? Well, butt (broadcast using this tool) makes that dream a reality! You can stream your favorite music and have listeners tune in right from your PC.
Thanks to modern tech, becoming a radio host is super easy. This tool works great with services like Shoutcast, Icecast, and Radio.co, letting you share those awesome tracks you love on your very own station.
The first thing you'll notice about butt is its simple look. It has that nostalgic Windows 98 vibe. But don’t let the design fool you—it’s really easy to use! The most important step is setting up the server so your streaming can go live.
To get started, head over to the Settings menu and add a new server. Depending on what you prefer, you can pick Shoutcast, Icecast, or Radio.co. Personally, we think Radio.co hits a nice balance between user-friendliness and performance. Just remember—you'll need to sign up on their site first!
The Settings menu gives you tons of control over your stream. You can adjust audio device settings and streaming quality too! Plus, there are multiple codecs available for streaming: MP3, OGG/VORBIS, OPUS, AAC+, and even FLAC—with bitrates going up to 320kbps. You can even tweak the encoding quality separately if you're feeling fancy!
If you're planning to record your streams or want song names to update automatically—good news! You can easily do that too. Add any suffix or prefix to song titles as well; it's totally customizable!
butt (broadcast using this tool), despite its quirky name, helps users stream their favorite songs and run their own radio station with ease.
