Canon PIXMA Wireless Setup Assistant is a handy tool that helps you breeze through the "Access Points" screen when you're trying to connect your Canon printer to a wireless network. If you've lost or forgotten the network key, this program can help you get it back!
This software has been officially discontinued, which means it won’t get any updates. But don't worry! You can still download and use the last version available on Softpedia.
Keep in mind that this assistant only works with older versions of Windows, like XP SP3 or newer, Vista, and Windows 7. It supports both 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) systems. And remember, it’s specifically designed for use with Canon printers!
To kick things off, you'll want to launch the access points window. Here, you'll see details like SSID, encryption type, number of channels, and signal strength for each access point. After that, open up the Canon PIXMA Wireless Setup Assistant. It should spot those same access points automatically and grab the relevant info without you having to lift a finger!
If you run into an error saying your printer can't connect to a specific access point, it usually means that the network key doesn’t match what's needed for that access point. Double-check the name of the access point and start again if needed.
